You can choose to stick to the tracks or climb the steeper mountain paths. Forage for wild asparagus which is widely found by the side of paths and wild flowers, including wild orchids are abundant. Herds of goats, with bells round their necks, grazing the mountainside are a common sight (and sound). If you are lucky you may see some of our more unusual wildlife. We have wild boar, Ibex (the wild mountain goat) eagles, Hoopoos, blue magpies, bee eaters and numerous other birds. A guide to show you the birds and wild life available on request. There are clearly marked walks of different levels and guided walks at the renowned beauty spot El Torcal. The famous walkway high above the El Chorro gorge, El Caminito del Rey, is an hour away.
